NEW BEGINNINGS AVIARY

Top-Quality ~ Lovingly Raised
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I only allow my birds to lay two clutches a year and I let them double clutch. So basically they are set up once and they lay one clutch of eggs. When the babies are between 10 days and 14 days old I pull them and then the parents are allowed to lay again.
My breeding season runs from October thru to July. And in that time I will have five pairs set up from October to January and then set up five new pairs from January to July.
I installed Full Spectrum Lighting so that the birds would have the best possible light available.
My birds are very spoiled and I can honestly, and probably sadly, say that my birds eat better than my four children do!!
I love to experiment with different recipes and I have really enjoyed the recipes on Sandra Moore's site:
GENESIS AVIARIES
My birds get a huge variety of fresh food AT LEAST every other day. I also make sure they have fresh water AT LEAST once a day.
They are given fresh seed and they do really love the
Zupreem fruitblend pellets...although none of them eat the banana shaped and coloured ones which is quite hilarious. I have asked them why but they seem to want to keep that a secret among themselves.
This is a hobby that began about 4 years ago...and I am going to blame it all on a wonderful lady named Nancy Stannard...because Nancy gave me some tiels, Rica and Pacer, and they had babies!!!
I have learned a lot through trial and error and through the very wonderful and generous advice of other tiel breeders. I believe the cockatiel to be one of the most wonderful birds available and make an incredible addition to any family, whether one person or ten.
They have truly won over my heart!!
I hope that wherever you get your cockatiel from that you will have many years of enjoyment and friendship with your wonderful friend!!
